The PAM8403 2-Channel Amplifier is a staple of the Game Boy Zero community. In a nutshell, it receives the left and right audio channels and outputs them at a louder volume.

This board is not required if you use the C-Media 102S+ USB Audio board, since that has a built-in amplifier.
