The 4-Port USB Backplate is exactly what it sounds like. It attaches flush to the rear side of the Raspberry Pi Zero W and allows you to attach up to four USB 2.0 devices.

This is a great choice if you're using a combination of USB components, such as a microcontroller for your inputs, a USB sound card for your audio, and an external USB port for devices such as keyboards and memory sticks.

Please note that this follows the FE1.1s standard, which means that mixing different speeds of devices could cause High speed devices to down-clock to Full speed, or possibly result in an incompatibility.
